Spine Exercise

This exercise promotes general spinal mobility.

Sit well back in your chair with your feet apart and squarely on the floor. Breathe in deeply, then breathe out leaning as far forward as comfortable, arms between your legs, holding for a count of 5. Slowly roll your body back to upright.

Interlace your fingers and stretch back as you breathe in deeply. Hold for 5, then bring your arms back down whilst you breathe out.

Turn your head, neck and shoulders to the left, with your left hand on the backrest and the right hand reaching for the left side of the chair. Hold for 5, return slowly to facing forward, and do the same on the right.
