Posture at Work Training Workshops

Health and Safety audits often struggle to demonstrate a link between ergonomic improvements and decreases in workplace injuries or days lost due to ill health.

The reason is that human beings will, all equal, lapse into harmful postural habits regardless of best-in-class ergonomics. To achieve tangible improvements, we must change professionals’ understanding of the health risks associated with poor posture at work, and equip them to manage their posture more effectively.

Our Posture at Work training workshop aims to impress on employees that they themselves can do far more for their health at work than the company can, and equip them with the following knowledge and skills.

  • Grasp the factors driving poor work posture – including desk ergonomics, “social ergonomics”, work patterns etc.
  • Understand the effects of poor work posture on their body and health;
  • Acquire a few practical exercises at home and work that increase body resilience and reduce the risk of postural injury;
  • Adopt some simple lifestyle habits that reduce the incidence of postural strain and RSI; and more generally
  • Reduce levels of work-related stress and increase physical energy throughout the day.

Overall, we aim to minimise your company’s exposure to accident claims and optimise its ergonomics investment.
